I am the Storeroom Manager for Valencia Travel and I make sure that all of the camping equipment for the treks is in optimum condition for our clients.
How Long have you worked for Valencia Travel?
I have worked for a year now, in Valencia Travel.
What do you love about working in the Travel industry?
I love the Travel Industry as my daughters have studied tourism and opened up the world of travel to me. It's a wonderful career that allows you to travel to some of the amazing destinations in the country. In the future, I would like to travel and learn more about the travel industry to help my daughters in their careers.
What is your favorite place to visit in Peru?
I am from a village called Quehuayllo, in Chumbivilcas and this is my favorite place to visit when I have the opportunity to go back home. I also love my beautiful city of Cusco. y tambien me gusta mi hermoso Cusco.
Where would you like to travel given the opportunity?
I would love to visit our neighboring country of Bolivia and cross the city of La Paz on the cable car and learn more about the traditions and customs of Bolivia. I would also like to visit the USA one day.
What is your favorite Peruvian Dish / Drink?
My favorite Peruvian dish is “Jaucha “ (Estofado de Loro) It takes its name from the bright green color of the vegetable here called “ nabo”, which is a type of turnip. and doesn’t include real parrots! (loros) . My favorite drink is chicha de Jora (Corn beer).
What is your most memorable moment working for Valencia Travel?
The best moment I have experienced is a visit to the remote Andean communities and sharing their customs, traditions, and way of life. A completely unique experience.
Where do you see yourself in one year’s time?
I am still learning all about the tourism industry and I would like to learn more and more, to keep working in travel. Then I can explore the different options in the travel industry
What is the best travel tip you can give to visitors to Peru?
I would recommend that everyone come and visit Peru and the wonder of the world, Machu Picchu. Also, learn about our culture and customs and the different destinations that you can find in this wonderful country. Cusco especially has so many archaeological sites and natural destinations to visit. I would invite you to come to this incredible country and experience adventure to the full.
